Villas, houses Sicily Italy. Mediterranean island
property. Catania, Palermo and Taormina
Sicily at this time is the only undeveloped
island in the Mediterranean and its looking likely
to be a hotbed of activity in the future. Three more
airlines have recently started flights
to the island of Sicily. British Airways from Spring
2004, have started flying direct to Catania, Ryanair,
Air Berlin, Air Malta, Air Alitalia etc also fly into
the island, making it far more accessible for future
tourism.
Many large companies have recently invested in Sicily,
the most recent being Trust House Forte and in the
future a bridge linking the mainland of Italy to the
island of Sicily is planned. The climate is great
and the food and wine and coffees are well known,

Best Areas (to purchase properties in
Sicily)
As for apartments in the city centre,
three cities in particular are advisable:
Catania is the liveliest city and its economy is developing
quickly; Palermo is the capital of Sicily, full of
magnificent historical buildings; Siracusa is a very
nice historical town. All of them are located by the
coast and are surrounded by nice seaside and countryside
locations.
As for seaside resorts, Taormina is the most exclusive.
Everything there is very expensive, but you can rent
properties for a high price. The same thing can be
said for the Aeolian Islands - a chain of islands
just off of the North Eastern coats of Sicily. The
Eastern coast is the liveliest and it’s developing
in terms of tourist income. Advisable is also the
coast near Palermo. Other locations around the cost
are cheaper, because less developed, but still very
beautiful.

Sicily, Italy Climate
It can be very hot in summer in Sicily, especially
inland. The high temperatures (measured in Sicily
in degrees Celsius) begin in May, often lasting until
sometime in October. Winters are mild.
For the most part, it's drier in Sicily than in North
America, so high temperatures don't seem as bad because
the humidity is lower. On islands, temperatures can
stay in the 90s (30s Celsius) for days, but nights
are most often comfortably cooler.
